I really liked the poem called "The Winter Letter" because it gives you a sense of nostalgia that is characteristic of winter, but it also combines that feeling with one of heartbreak. One always deals with the memories when it's winter time, a certain nostalgia that every person deals with. Like all sad songs you hear when it's raining, they always remind you of someone at least. Then the next poem called "My soul got old since I was young" is great because it is reminiscing of the good times you have when you are younger and naive. Whenever you see a little sign that you are aging up, you are always hit with the shocking feeling of wanting to be young again. Before you were aware of the world and its cruelty.
Honestly it is interesting to get a glimpse to how Literal Ink was in it beginnings and to read what my now teachers have written. For example: Cancer Process, a beautiful love poem. A declaration of love about a friendship that became love and infatuation. The way she is described is simply delectable.
It was interesting to see how everything started in Literal Ink. I definitely liked World Wode Web. I liked how it uses the myth, the imagery and the different animals to establish how, at the very end, everything in nature is connected through a web -it may be the spider's web or the internet web.
I enjoyed the 'Fictive Ink' section a lot, those were some of my favorite poems because of how strange and rare they are, it's not often to have those kinds of poems (or at least I wasn't as familiar with those themes) and I found them very appealing. But my favorite poem was 'my soul got old since I was young' I think it's one of those poems in which we can all relate too in a way, and I loved the way it was written and the feelings it portrayed.
